Juneau – AK

Offers a touch of everything you could ask for in a destination wedding.

Did you know that Juneau is the only state capital in the US which has no roads leading to it? The only way to get there is by boat or plane! Juneau was a mining town up through the 1940’s, and actually got its name from miner, Joseph Juneau. The average annual temperature is 40.6°F, and the average summer temperature is 52°F.

Glacier
An exciting and adventurous event awaits you atop a Juneau glacier. Take a short helicopter ride to the Hubbard Glacier and say “I Do” or party on top of the world.

*Please note the rainforest garden is used as back up if the helicopter cannot fly due to inclement weather.

Rainforest Garden
If a glacier isn’t your style, than enjoy the natural beauty of a Juneau rainforest garden. Your special event will be surrounded by the natural sounds of waterfalls and the aroma of a blooming garden. The garden is wheelchair accessible and does have rest rooms available for you and your guests.

LGBT Legal Friendly

Juneau, Alaska’s remote capital, sits in the state’s panhandle, at the base of 3,819-ft. Mount Roberts. It’s a popular cruise-ship stop, reachable only by boat or seaplane. A tram carries visitors 1,800 feet up Mount Roberts to an alpine area with hiking trails, wildflowers and views of Gastineau Channel. This is also the site of the Juneau Raptor Center, dedicated to local birds.
